Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for the women are:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • resided for five or more years in Michalovce or Svidnik district
  • parity less than four
  • free of serious illnesses during the pregnancy, including cancer, psychosis, toxoplasmosis, rubella
  • no multiple births during pregnancy, and children free of congenital anomalies
